90% in 74 hours. Planting shortly. Starting out with Back To The Roots organic potting soil and extra perlite at 3-1 ratio. The pots are 4" air/bonsai style Only feed water with TPS billions thats been filtered by Britta plus.
I have 5 planted. Im in a rental townhouse so keeping it simple and just protecting the carpet. 250w air vented full spectrum with a Vornado Atom in the corner to circulate air. Fortunately I tested this closet, and it doesn't get over 88 with door closed. This is good enough to get plants vegged, sexed and select the best 4 to run outdoors. I ended up with 7 Cripxmas A x Chocolate Haze Xmas and 1 Pressure Skunk x Chocolate Haze Xmas.
1 deformed and 1 damped off were replaced.
Conditions range 73-81 degrees w 30-40%. I have small container of water to help humidity
Late April (Initial pH Recovery & Topping)
I havent updated this because I was waiting for a ph readjustment in the soil, and that takes times, but now the plants on track and taking off. 3 are topped and 2 have deformed to self top. A 1 year aged composted top dressed.
The growth may be small cause I was initially readjusting Ph from being too high and using conservative inputs of nutrients and light distance. Think Ive only seen tiny gnats but its only a few.
Its taken a few weeks from that ph adjustment but the growth is taking off now. A couple have deformed and topped themselves and 3 are now topped. The smaller plant is coming out of its funk, so it takes patience and conservative care to get through a stalled seedling.
Well, the few fungus gnats turned into infestation that needed diatomaceous earth treatment. I am watering from the bottom up in the meantime and adding a foliar Cal mag with liquid karma. I do believe the fungus gnats stalled their growth, but they are recovering and soon will be sexed. The genetics are resilient to real world challenges, and thats telling!
Growth is regaining speed, however Ive decided to replace soil mix with Mother Earth's Groundswell when it arrives. The last few finally got topped with others getting their 2nd.
I had to research the small sativa leaves, it's definitely not usual to see. What it means, turns out the genetics have gone back to ancestral kush origins. The plant is hardwired to stay a compact dwarf now
The Crippy origin is of colder mountain climate and it's ancestry directly related to the smaller leaf size. Furthermore the Chocolate Haze and Xmas Bud combination very likely outcrossed PTK linalool and completed the full return to cold axis.
This means it will be all sharp biting frozen pine terps and oxidation resistant, everything warm and tropical is out of the profile supposedly. If you didnt even think its possible for the actual early 90s Crippy to be brought back, think again. Despite whatever anyone wants to feels personally about AI, the cross checking is profound data to see and read over that connects together!
I ended up with 2 females that sexed themselves at 5 weeks. There's 3 here because I was giving time, but I had to cull that back plant.

The RKS Pressure Skunk phenotype is the same
The plant is really filling in, but at 12-13" at 12 weeks, the growth stays controlled at 1/4" to 1" nodes. This is staying greener and actually not as mutated from what I understand. The plan is to root 2 cuts if not in time outside, then inside using 3 gall square AC Infinity fabric pots and water wicking bases. Ive also got an Pressure Skunk RKS doing the same thing, controlled growth and no stretch.

Well you can make plans how you like things to turn out, however mother nature can change those plans.
Let's start with something some may not realize about aero cloning. You can have everything RIGHT, water quality, the cut, temperature, humidity and most of all sterility, but if you don't have enough DO (dissolved oxygen) none of it matters! The pump itself is not enough. I used to think air stones were optional, but after spending 3 weeks with cuts that could not root since early July on the 1st try, but the day I added it on the 2nd try, 5 days to strike. Cripxmas A x CHX. Yes, you heard that right. So it tells you this is actually integral to aero cloning.
Heavy calloused tissue didn't have the oxygen to root, barely a translucent root strike struggling to breathe
From here, I'm going to be doing something interesting. I'm not going to veg the clones, but I am going to top every 3 nodes 5 maybe 6 times. Each cut has a quadrant of the cloner at 2.5 gallons, a little over half a piece to share. The idea is pre-structural shaping, then letting the flip take care of vertical growth and filling out all the tops into carpet of canopy. I just may get outdoors for Sept but I won't have to worry about getting actual tops. The CHX side should "push up" all the young growth with robust vigor. We shall see how this idea develops. I've already topped the 2 Cripxmas yesterday. The Pressure Skunk RKS slightly behind in the back but those will be done in a few days.

Since April this breaks down to 4 INCHES per month. This is gonna be the plant for people who're are tired of running out of vertical space before they even know it.
Week 2 of the no veg clone training/topping experiment. Once each of the 6 shoots reaches 3 nodes, they will be topped again. Up to 3 successions before moving out in 3 gall square AC Infinity pots early to mid Sept is my objective.
Week 3
All are topped twice. I've defoliated leaves shading lateral shoots so those push up more before topping those. Seems to be working well so far.

Week 4 : Still waiting on the 3rd round topping, but I've structured lateral node shoots in the meantime. A clip fan is toughening softer branches so its a rigid frame. Leaves that shade shoots gets removed, after 3 nodes of growth I'll split them all again
Week 5
The pump sprayer broke. I decided to just turn it into a DWC. The laterals have pushed up, so about 9 tops were clipped. Leaf that is shading lower shoots still to push up was thinned out. Larger fans can hang off corners without interfering with growth. Here's the before shot

Roots are chilling at 65-96F. Since removing the pump, the central strand is pushing more capillaries out. Everything is on track to be outside by mid or late Sept at the latest. Check back next week
