Adirondack Sugarman's Garden

  • Hey everyone! I'm the Adirondack Sugarman, aka CannabisCrusader. After being removed from a few forums, Dankmaster has graciously given me a spot to document my work in a safe space where I wont have to run my posts through Legal Zoom first.

A bit about myself before we get started. Ive been growing since the mid 90's. Back when growing was very illegal. Back when you wanted a bag of weed, you got sold a bag of weed. No fancy names, and every bag smelled like pine, and gas. I started out in a 3x3 closet with some hps parking lot lights, moved up to a whole basement, then a whole house. Those were my younger years....

I got very sick before the pandemic, and I wound up in the hospital for a year before eventually receiving a heart transplant. When I returned home, I came back to find all my strains were gone. So for the past 6 years, I have been popping seed pack after seed pack trying to find something to match the potency of what I had before I got sick. As the years dragged on, and grows came and went, my hopes for finding those effects dwindled into reluctant acceptance that weed just isn't what it was. We took a bag of weed for granted, thinking it would always be there for us. Refusing to find complete truth in that statement, I continued my search.

Thats when I ran into Dankmaster and his CripXmas that was seemingly pulled out of the either. A bright light shining through the drab Grey of fruit punch pixi stick strains with all fruit and no punch.

Let's get into the garden set up. After multiple surgeries, I had to scale down a bit. Both for my own physical and mental sanity. I have 3 cabinets i built for vegitative growth. They are 2'-6" x 8' with sliding panel doors. One is for rooting clones and early veg, the other two feed my 2 4x8 flower tents.

Tents and cabinets are kept at 72 lights off, 82 lights on. Relative Humidity is kept at %48 - %52. All of my lights are viparspectra, and I run organic dry amendments in reused promix with added rice hulls and perlite.

  • Let's start over in the breeding tent that I managed to convince my wife it needed to be in her office upstairs. Luckily, she likes the white noise of the fan. A bit crowded this time, but that's the way of the road boys... the way she goes.

In this tent we have the makings of our first giveaway!

2 males on either side are Bodhi's "Phone Home".

3 females in the tent are Bodhi's "Phone Home", Bodhi's "Pinesol", and a strain i aquired on another forum that I named "Cloaked Aurora" (NL x Romulan).

  • Over in bloom tent #1 we have some of Bodhi's "Pinesol" i received as snips from another grower. Smells just like the cleaner, and he says its a ten week strain. Here she is at 7 1/2 weeks

  • Right along side the "Pinesol" is Dankmaster's "Pressure Skunk". This is my outdoor keeper. Same terps and stem rub as my indoor keeper, just a more open structure for better air flow. I found this strain to be an 8 week finisher, some earlier but those ones I found had a more mild terpine profile and potency. This phenotype smells like the skunk action figure from He-Man, and packs a potent puff. This one always seems to be in everyones top 3.

  • In the other half of bloom tent # 1 we have our first run of Dankmaster's Super Northern Lights. They are only 5 1/2 weeks into flower, and look to be an 8 week finisher. I'll get some better pictures when I pull them out of the tent this weekend to clean them up a little.

  • A few other strains in tent #1 that I'll get to once they become a bit more photogenic.

    Black Triangle (TK x 88g13hp)

BTY kush og (Better Than Yours)

    CripXmas #2 pheno

  • Here's a shot of bloom tent #2. Everything in here is just about 2 weeks into bloom, and we'll get into them as they develop. For now i'll just list them off left to right.

3 tall plants on the left are "Phone Home"

Short plant on the left side is " Red Velvet Gary"

     "Calimocho #7" behind the divider

    "Pinesol"

    "Pine Tar Kush"

    "Cherry Bang Bang"

    Short one is "Cloaked Aurora"

  • On over to my clone cabinet where snips get put into plugs and shoot some roots.

After the propogation tray, the freshly rooted clones go into solo cups or small pots in the other side of the cabinet. Over here they are kept root bound and trimmed under a fixture dimmed to %25. I Feed and trim them on alternating weeks, and they keep this way for a long time. My record is 9 years with root trimming every 3 months.

  • In the cabinets underneath those, we have some vegging plants getting ready for a transplant this week or next.

    Strains in this cabinet are

    CripXmas

    Frankenstein

    BTY kush og

    Black Triangle

    Cloaked Aurora

On the right side though, i have another project going on. I volunteered as a tester for COPA genetics to test some "Salmon Creek Big Bud" crosses, and I chose "Vintage White Widow x Salmon Creek Big Bud". I was given 13 seeds, 12 popped, only 2 were female. I picked out some smelly/sturdy males, and f2's will be my next project to go into the breeding tent. I have a few ideas about who is going into the tent with them....

Here they are. The females are front center and front right

  • Over in the other veg cabinet, we got 2 plants ready to go into bloom next week.

    White Widow (Sharon cut) right

    GoverMint Oasis left

This will be my first time flowering these cuts. I'm told the potency is off the charts on both... but I've been told that many times.

Other side of this cabinet we have the next wave, and our next project that will be documented on the home page (Dog Beach).

Also on this side of the cabinet are

    "White Widow" (Sharon cut)

    "GoverMint Oasis"

    "Cloaked Aurora"

Flavor on the Cloaked Aurora is delicious.  Thick and heavy, sweet and sour. Like Rosemary salt, if you know you know!

    "BTY kush og"

    "CripXmas b2"

excited to try this one, more Indica high compared to the cripXmas a2

More updates coming, more tasty bud shots, more of Dankmaster's strains on display, and more of my genetic experiments. All on the way. Pull up a spot and pop a squat, lets watch these plants turn into art as we fly through the cosmos on a rock at ludicrous speed.... then smoketh it

  • Wow i am always amazed by other people's grow areas. Really nice set up and obviously beautiful plants. Glad to have you still around, very happy your surgery went well and you recovered nicely. Thank you for sharing !!

  • Thanks for stopping by @Jason ! I'm happy I made it too..  too many plants to grow to call it quits this early in the game.

  • Everything’s looking great—Pinesol could use a slight flower time cut, but that’s minor. Just a heads-up: CripXmas leans toward the latter side of the 8-week mark. Right now I’m still finalizing logistics on the clone transfer. Ideally this stays hand-off only, but to keep it moving, I’m offering $600+ to anyone who can do the run from McLean, VA to Sugarman.

If no one steps up, I may drive the CripXmas B clone to Rockville, MD myself and mail one tube only from there to test the survivability window. It’ll only include genetics that cannot be replaced by seed—CripXmas A and  B F3 and Maui. If it wilts to dry out, that route is dead.

I’ve also just started flip on a new line—Pinetree Haze—planned for a BX2 dusting for long-term preservation. That seed was started back in October. This will probably be the final plant to finish here before the house lists in late April. After that, cuts go offline.

If you want to be part of the preservation network for CripXmas—whether as a safehouse, grower, or future distributor—drop me a DM. Let’s get this locked in while we still can.
