We’re officially into the selection phase on the Dog Beach run. This is heirloom Afghani cut x ChemDog—the backbone of old-school power. These are unbottled genetics, untouched by modern hype cycles. We’re documenting the entire process live.
Here’s the full group as of 3/24/2025

Early Plant Behavior: What We’re Looking For
We’re selecting based on early indicators:
- Symmetry
- Internode spacing
- Leaf posture
- Stretch vs. structure
We’re not looking for Instagram weed. We’re looking for functional architecture that finishes strong.
If you’ve hunted Afghan or Chem crosses, what were your best early tells ?
DB #5: Stretchy, Vigor-Heavy, Possible Male
Dog Beach #5 is showing classic male traits—strong apical stretch, long internodes, and early vertical push. This might be our most vigorous male, but still too early to confirm. Worth watching.
DB #6: Perfect Neutral Form, Great Balance
This one’s staying low, wide, and centered. Nice node spacing, great posture, and strong central stem. Not overly aggressive, not overly reserved. It’s got female energy written all over it.

DB #7: Leading Female Candidate
Dog Beach #7 is the top contender right now. Beautiful symmetry, wide fan set, and that classic Afghan-Chem energy. This is the one we’re hoping stacks out into a true head-nodder.

Heres a few shots of the group

One of these Dog Beach phenos is about to change everything.
#7 is already stepping forward with a presence the others can’t match—clean symmetry, disciplined growth, and that quiet intensity that always shows up in the winners early. She’s in the crosshairs now.
If this holds into flower, she may become the official CripXmas x Dog Beach mother.
Let’s see if she’s built for the spotlight.
Tagged hopefully this works. I want the emails notifications for this one for sure!
They greened right up this week, and they're beginning to take off. They will all get topped next week to promote side branching for clones.
